Iggy Peck's Big Project Book for Amazing Architects by Andrea Beaty and David Roberts (Abrams Young Readers)

Here's a fabulous companion activity book to one of our favourite books ever...!
"Iggy Peck's Big Project Book for Amazing Architects" lets you loose with a ton of inspirational ideas in line with the story of young Iggy, an amazing architect who saves his whole class on an ill-fated ramble in the country - with some elite bridge building skills.

You don't just get to build bridges with this book, there are tons of amazing ideas (over 40 in fact) to inspire you to build your own amazing creations, draw up floor plans, build tall towers out of drinking straws and dried spaghetti (we tried with the cooked stuff, it didn't end well).

Fully illustrated throughout with some of David Roberts' amazing illos from the book, and written again by Andrea Beaty, this is the perfect accompaniment to the awesome story, which hit our Book of the Week slot a couple of years ago now...

Oh dear, not so easy to be an ace builder when your teacher is such a buzzkill
We particularly loved drawing up floor plans using all the amazing little symbols you get to learn about in this book, and learning a little about the history of architecture and some of the amazing buildings and constructions around the world.

We're only making plans for Iggy...Weeooo!
Fab stuff from Andrea and David!

"Iggy Peck's Big Project Book for Amazing Architects" is out now, published by Abrams Young Readers (kindly supplied for review).
