Checking out the new "Thunderbirds are Go" official activity books from Simon and Schuster

Calling International Rescue! Did you know a whole new Thunderbirds series has arrived and is currently knocking everyone's socks off? Expect Thunderbirds-Mania to explode all over merchandise and toy ranges this Christmas but there are also tons of Thunderbirds books to dig into too!
We've been taking a look at three of the books from Simon and Schuster's new range to accompany the smash hit TV series.

Wibbly-wobbly string puppets might be a thing of the past, but the exploits of the Tracey brothers are just as thrilling and exciting as ever!

We started off by taking a look at the official "Thunderbirds are Go" sticker activity book. Scenes from several episodes have been represented in full colour spreads, with over 50 Thunderbirds-based stickers to stick down.

All the key characters and vehicles from the series feature in this glossy and gorgeously presented book, perfect for sticker-obsessed kids.

For more in-depth info on the series, there's also an official guide that introduces all aspects of the new series. Old die-hard Thunderbirds veterans (like me) will love digging into this book to spot the differences between the classic and current series, as well as finding out a ton of facts about Alan, Scott, Virgil, Gordon and John and of course their specialist roles in the International Rescue team.

Charlotte had never heard of Thunderbirds (I know, I know, where on earth did I go wrong?) so this was a great starting point for her - as we haven't caught up with the TV series yet (thankfully Volume 1 of the series is now available on DVD).

Finally in the Thunderbirds range, we took a look at the Thunderbirds Crosscut book - which features a fold-out-and-make model of Thunderbird 1 itself. Again, like the Official Guide, the Crosscut book features tons of facts and information about the Tracey boys, the villainous Hood and series mainstays like Lady Penelope, Parker, Kayo and Brains.

All three books are fantastically presented, so look out for them as they're all available now, perfect for upcoming christmas stocking fillers.
