"Are you Sitting Comfortably?" by Leigh Hodgkinson (Bloomsbury Publishing)

It's so very lovely to have Leigh Hodgkinson back. After taking some time off for a very good reason (bringing up a by-now very busy little 3 year old) she's back with a rather fabulous story about finding JUST the right spot to snuggle down with a good book...
Leigh has written and illustrated some of our favourite books, such as "Goldilocks and Just the One Bear" and "Don't Dip Your Chips In Your Drink, Kate" so she definitely knows a thing or two about stories.

She obviously knows a thing or two about snuggling down in the perfect spot to read one too, so in "Are You Sitting Comfortably" we follow a little boy who is searching for a nook to nestle in with a book.

Leigh's lyrical rhyming story guides us through the little boy's search - nowhere too itchy, slimy or smelly, it's got to be JUST right. As the boy's quest continues he meets a whole bunch of story-loving characters who join in because they know (as we know) that once you've settled down, you can begin! So are you sitting comfortably? This gorgeous book is released tomorrow!

Charlotte's favourite bit: The big scratchy itchy monster (and her tiny scratchy itchy baby!)

Daddy's favourite bit: As ever, glorious illustrations and lyrical storytelling are Leigh's trademarks and fans definitely won't be disappointed with this delicious little tale!
